We pride ourselves in offering quality natural stones that have not been coloured or treated with chemicals or heat to enhance the colour of the stones, because we value natural beauty, people’s health and the environment.
The incredibly beautiful Gemstone Lamps, as well as the wooden boxes for the Mini Egg Collections, are made by us right here in Taranaki, New Zealand.
We have collected, cleaned and shipped every piece of Southern African gemstone, mineral and crystal to New Zealand ourselves. New Zealand pieces have not been shipped :-). In areas where local communities had access to their natural resources and mined crystals or gemstones, we supported them by buying from them, directly. That is why we say our products are ethically sourced, as we bought straight from the people who make a living by digging these from the ground or the locals shaping them into spheres and eggs.
The team at ZimZan Gemstones want you to enjoy the products as much as we do and will communicate with you honestly and quickly so that you can buy with confidence.
Some have asked us where the name ZimZan came from. Well, our hobby started out in Southern Africa, and more specifically in Zimbabwe (the "ZIM"), South Africa (the "ZA") and Namibia (the "N"), hence ZimZan!
